Abstract

Penerapan Internet of Things (IoT) di lingkungan pendidikan menjadi solusi modern dalam meningkatkan efisiensi dan efektivitas pembelajaran. Salah satu implementasinya adalah sistem monitoring classroom berbasis komunikasi nirkabel
yang memungkinkan pemantauan kondisi kelas secara real-time. Penelitian ini membahas perbandingan kinerja tiga jenis media transmisi, yaitu WiFi ESP8266, NRF24L01, dan LoRa SX1278, dalam sistem monitoring ruang kelas di Universitas
Nahdlatul Ulama Al Ghazali Cilacap. Parameter yang dianalisis mencakup jangkauan, delay, dan RSSI, dengan metode eksperimen point to point (P2P) melalui pengujian langsung di lapangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa WiFi unggul dalam kecepatan transmisi namun memiliki jangkauan terbatas, NRF24L01 memiliki konsumsi daya rendah dan performa menengah, sementara LoRa SX1278 mampu menjangkau area luas dengan konsumsi daya rendah namun memiliki kecepatan transmisi yang lebih rendah. Studi ini memberikan pemahaman mengenai kelebihan dan kekurangan masing-masing transceiver untuk mendukung pengambilan keputusan dalam implementasi sistem IoT di lingkungan kampus.
