Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi informasi dan Internet of Things (IoT) mendorong penerapan sistem cerdas dalam lingkungan pendidikan, salah satunya melalui konsep Smart Classroom.
Pengelolaan fasilitas ruang kelas yang masih dilakukan secara manual sering menimbulkan pemborosan energi, seperti kipas angin yang tetap menyala saat ruangan kosong. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengimplementasikan sistem berbasis IoT dalam mendeteksi aktivitas kelas guna mewujudkan Smart Classroom di Universitas Nahdlatul Ulama Al Ghazali. Sistem dikembangkan menggunakan mikrokontroler Arduino Uno sebagai pengendali utama dan modul WiFi NodeMCU ESP8266 untuk mengirimkan data ke internet. Dua sensor inframerah (IR) digunakan untuk mendeteksi arah pergerakan dan menghitung jumlah pengguna di dalam kelas secara real-time. Data tersebut digunakan untuk mengendalikan kipas angin secara otomatis serta dikirim ke Firebase Realtime database untuk monitoring secara online. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa sistem mampu mendeteksi keberadaan pengguna dan mengontrol kipas angin secara otomatis sesuai kondisi ruangan. Kata kunci: Smart Classroom, Internet of Things (IoT), Arduino UNO, NodeMCU ESP8266, Sensor IR, Realtime Monitoring, Deteksi Aktivitas Mahasiswa.
