Abstract
Machine vibration is a common phenomenon that can affect operational stability and efficiency, including in horizontal-type soybean draining vibrator machines. Uncontrolled vibrations can accelerate component wear and degrade the quality of production results. This study aims to evaluate the performance of a soybean draining vibrator machine modified with a suspension system, focusing on
vibration analysis, motor rotational speed, and energy efficiency. The research methodology was conducted experimentally using a vibration meter to measure displacement, velocity, and acceleration, as well as a tachometer to observe the motor's rotational speed. Tests were carried out under load variations of 10 kg and
5 kg at two critical points, namely the Drive End and Non-Drive End, with three repetitions to ensure data consistency. The results indicate that the modified
suspension system successfully reduced the average vibration amplitude to 0.195 mm, with an average rotational speed of 244.753 RPM and an average energy consumption of 0.973 kWh. The reduction in vibration amplitude directly contributed to improved machine stability and energy efficiency. This study concludes that the suspension system modification provides an effective solution for enhancing the operational performance of vibrator machines. It offers a significant
contribution to the development of industrial machinery based on vibration analysis..
